Mozambique Reaching 32,973 people with God’s Word in 2019.

Mozambique

A beautiful but severely impoverished country, Mozambique is located on the southeast coast of Africa and home to almost 30 million. While poverty is a major issue, it’s not the only problem the country faces. Multiple extremist groups are actively trying to start a civil war with intentions to separate the north from the south. The national government is working with these groups to try and resolve the issues to bring peace to the nation.

The government is also working hand-in-hand with the churches of Mozambique. Across the nation, many are practicing Muslims, witchdoctors, sorcerers, and many believe in ancestral worship and mix the Gospel with other traditions. The government and population is open to and eager for religion, so this is the prime time to share truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Reaching the Unreached

Bible League International will focus on children and youth ministries as well as reaching rural areas that do not have access to Bibles and biblical materials. There are currently no other ministries serving this nation through training believers and equipping them with Bibles and biblical resources. The plan is to introduce Project Philip Bible studies to churches in specified areas, then training those church members as Philips (Project Philip Bible study leaders).

2019 Ministry Impact Stats:

People Reached   People Reached with God’s Word: 32,973

People Trained   People Trained to Share God’s Word: 123

Churches Planted   Churches Planted: 43

Biblical Resources   Bibles & Bible Resources Given: 97,248

To reach children and youth, Bible League will work with orphanages, restoration centers, and Christian schools around the country to introduce Project Philip materials. But to do this, there’s a major need for children’s materials and Bibles.

There is an ongoing need for Bibles, biblical resources, and training in Mozambique. Bible League’s ministry will bring the Bread of Life to a nation hungry for truth and hope.
