Rob Bullock - Executive Vice President of Advancement

The Lord came and stood there. He called as he did before, saying, “Samuel, Samuel!” Samuel said, “Speak. I am your servant, and I am listening.”
1 Samuel 3:10 ERV

Rob Bullock, Bible League International’s Executive Vice President of Advancement, leads efforts to engage support for global ministries. This includes strengthening relationships with the tens of thousands of people whose gifts of time, talent, and treasure make our work possible. He puts it this way, “I provide strategy and direction for an outstanding team of dedicated, creative, passionate, and professional women and men who love the Gospel and who love serving God and our partners in ministry.”

Rob also points to being inspired by the sense of mission he sees in the hearts and lives of those Bible League serves and in Christians throughout history. “I’m most inspired by ordinary people who overcome great obstacles to accomplish great things, and those who seem to have been created by God ‘for such a time as this,’” he explains. “John Newton captained slave ships. But after converting to Christianity he became an ardent abolitionist, an Anglican priest, and the author of the hymn, ‘Amazing Grace.’”

Rob holds degrees from Georgetown University and Stetson University, and has also studied at Duke Divinity School and the London Business School. He has worked in faith-focused organizations for more than 20 years, and is deeply motivated by the privilege of helping to grow God’s Church.

He reflects, “I love that I get to spend every day helping to share the Good News about God’s love for us. Witnessing hundreds of people being trained in the Philippines as Church Planters, Project Philip Bible study leaders, and Bible-based Literacy teachers in 2018 was particularly encouraging. To play even a small part in this great work is a tremendous blessing.

“Much of my career has involved work with global ministry organizations,” he says. “It’s been a privilege to visit and work with other believers in 27 countries over the last 6 years, including many in the Middle East (where it can be very difficult to be a Christian). I even worked with a tribe of Eskimo believers in Alaska. We have so much to learn from each other and we can encourage one other. Bible League does a great job of ministry with and to partners. I love getting occasional notes from supporters sharing how God worked in their lives through the stories of lives transformed that we’ve communicated from the field. It’s an honor to help lead our work with them.”
