Our Recruitment Process

[accordion clicktoclose=”true”]

We want to attract, hire and retain top talent. The following is a general guideline of what you can expect when you apply for a position with Bible League International. [accordion-item id=”info-first-column” class=”info-first” title=”▾ Read More”]

Résumé Submission

When you apply for a position with Bible League International through our careers website, you will receive an automated email confirming that your résumé has been received.

Initial Screening

Once your résumé is received, it is screened against a set of essential job criteria and Bible League International’s core values to determine whether there is a skill and a cultural fit between you and our organization.

If there appears to be a fit, you will be invited to take part in a brief phone interview with the HR Recruiter to share more about your specific experience that is relevant to the position in which you have applied.

After the phone interview, the HR Recruiter will contact you to advise you of the outcome of your interview and inform you of the next step in the recruitment process.

Interview

The interview with the HR Recruiter and the hiring manager(s) will be your first face-to-face contact with our organization (this may take place over the telephone, video conference or in person at one of our offices, depending on your location and availability).

We believe that, at this stage, you are interviewing us as well. It is as much about you getting to know us as well as us getting to know you. In some situations, additional interviews and assessments may be conducted.

If you interviewed for the position, you will be notified if you were not selected as the final candidate.

Background Checks and Employment Offer

Our final step in the recruitment process involves conducting professional and spiritual reference checks. We will ask for two work-related references along with contact information and one spiritual reference. Additionally, with the applicant’s authorization, we will conduct a criminal background check.

Following the successful completion of your references and background checks, a verbal offer of employment will be made. This will be followed promptly by a written offer that will provide details for the terms and conditions of employment, and any other information that may be important to assist you in making your decision to accept the offer.

Frequently Asked Questions

We know you probably have questions, so we’ve compiled a list of common questions and answers for you. If you have a question that isn’t addressed, please contact us. [accordion-item id=”info-third-column” class=”info-third” title=”▾ Read More”]

When I apply for a position, will I receive a confirmation email that my résumé was received?

Yes, you will receive an automated notification that Human Resources received your résumé.

After I submit my résumé, when should I expect to hear back from the HR Recruiter?

The HR Recruiter will review all résumés within two weeks from the date received and determine which candidates will be considered for the open position. If you have not heard back from the recruiter, most likely there are candidates that are a better fit for the role and meet the qualifications. Due to the number of résumés we receive, unfortunately, we cannot respond to all inquiries. We encourage you to visit our careers page frequently to view all open positions.

Does Bible League International keep my resume on file and if so, for how long?

Résumés will be retained in our automated system. However, since résumés do not automatically transfer to other open positions, you must apply separately to each open positon that you are interested in and meet the minimum qualifications for.
